A LITTLE ABOUT COBANARA
Name
Cobonara (No relation to the pasta, though she finds the coincidence “deliciously suspicious.”)
Age
12 (In “solar years”). She has the energy of a hummingbird and the patience of a cat waiting for a milk bowl.
Favorite Food
Honey-drenched dates. She claims they’re “peasant food,” but she eats them with a very specific, pinky-extended elegance that she can’t quite explain.
Favorite Hobby
Expert Eavesdropping. She’s remarkably good at blending into shadows. She says it’s for “survival,” but she mostly just likes knowing who is gossiping about whom in the marketplace.
Key Accomplishments
Successfully navigated the Great Bazaar without tripping over her own feet (mostly).
Can identify five different types of Nile silt just by the smell.
Once convinced a palace guard she was a “very short, very lost” official scroll-carrier.
Fun Fact
She has a strange, instinctive habit of expecting people to bow when she enters a room. She plays it off as a “weird muscle spasm in her neck,” but it’s very convincing.
Favorite Colour
Lapis Lazuli Blue. She says it reminds her of the sky, but it coincidentally happens to be the exact shade of the most expensive royal pigments.
Favorite Animal
The Desert Fox. Quick, clever, and much better at hiding than most people give them credit for.
Interesting Fact
Despite living a “simple” life, she is strangely fluent in three dead languages and knows exactly how much a solid gold throne weighs. She claims she “heard it in a song once.”
