Ghurkin (He insists it’s an ancient warrior name, despite looking suspiciously like a small pickled vegetable).

Age

4 months. But in his head, he has the wisdom of a thousand-year-old philosopher.

Favorite Food

Dragonflies. He likes to tell people he “slayed a dragon” for lunch. Technically true, just a very small, winged one.

Favorite Hobby

Professional Gravity Defiance. He spends 90% of his time hanging upside down from temple ceilings just to see if he can make the humans dizzy.

Key Accomplishments

• Once sat perfectly still for three hours, convincing a sculptor he was part of a limestone ornament.

• Successfully “hunted” a flickering torch flame.

• Is the only creature in the desert who can look Cobweb in the eye while standing on his forehead.

Fun Fact

Ghurkin doesn’t have eyelids, so he licks his own eyeballs to stay hydrated. He considers this a “superior grooming technique” and is offended that others don’t follow suit.

Favorite Colour

Chameleon Camouflage. It’s not one color; it’s every color. He’s very indecisive like that.

Favorite Animal

The Crocodile. He views them as “Ghurkins who hit the gym.” He’s waiting for his own growth spurt any day now.

Interesting Fact

He is convinced he is the secret mastermind behind the entire quest. He doesn’t follow the others; he “leads from the rear” (usually while sat on Azur’s head).
